Tallowood's Adult Choir
The Tallowood Adult Choir is an exciting place to serve right now. Our new worship facility and music suite enable us to accommodate our membership of over 200 singers. Dr. Allen Hightower, our Minister of Music and Worship, is challenging us through beautiful and biblically sound music. He is calling us to higher praise of Jesus Christ, of whom and to whom we sing.
Now is a great time to come and visit rehearsals, which take place every Wednesday evening in Choral Hall from 7:15 until 8:45, with nursery provided. No tryouts are necessary—only a love for the Lord and ability to sing. When you come, you will be greeted by friendly choir members who will quickly get you settled with music and seated next to someone who will help you through the rehearsal. Be prepared to have a good time working hard together as we prepare to sing for our 10:15 or 11:30 traditional services on Sunday morning, or other events such as Easter, Summer Night of Gospel Music, or our Christmas celebration, A Festival of Carols. With a wide variety of excellent music, the Tallowood Adult Choir is a challenging and fulfilling place to worship and serve.
A Festival of Carols
Begun in 1995, A Festival of Carols is a Christmas celebration presented by Tallowood’s Adult Choir and Orchestra. Recent guest artists including The King’s Brass (2008) and Cynthia Clawson (2009) have lent their talents to this exciting production of familiar carols and majestic anthems. Join us with friends and family in December of 2010 as we seek to glorify the King of Kings and celebrate His advent!
