Worship at Tallowood
We welcome you to worship with us this weekend! We pray that our worship services impact your life and the lives of those around you.
What is worship? It is focusing on God, not on ourselves. It is something that begins with the heart and is expressed with actions. Therefore, it is important that we prepare our hearts for this special time. Because our worship brings God pleasure, it is to be done with sincerity from the heart, not out of duty and obligation. Let’s ask God to open our hearts to truly worship Him.
While we can worship God anywhere at any time, there is something special about gathering with other believers. This is a time of corporate worship, but it is also a time for each person to make a connection with God.
At Tallowood, there are many opportunities to join our hearts together in worship. We have weekend worship services on both Saturday and Sunday.
Come and worship with us this week!
Traditional Worship
Tallowood has two services in a traditional style each Sunday at 10:15 AM and 11:30 AM. These services feature the Adult Choir, Orchestra, piano and pipe organ, and are led by Dr. Allen Hightower, Minister of Music and Worship, and Dr. Duane Brooks, Pastor. From treasured hymns, accompanied by Tallowood’s new 5400-pipe organ, to majestic choral anthems to the classic melodies of Bach and Vivaldi, the traditional services at Tallowood seek to magnify our Creator and Lord and inspire us to lives of obedience and service. We welcome you to worship with us in these or any of our four weekly services.
Contemporary Worship
Tallowood has two services in a band-oriented contemporary style each weekend. The first takes place on Saturday at 6:10 PM, and is held at the Tallowood Center, located on the eastbound side of the Katy Freeway (I-10) at Attingham. The second takes place on Sunday at 9:00 AM at the Main Campus, located at 555 Tallowood Road. Worship Associate David Ray and his wife Jessica lead these services with a rotating group of local musicians. A core rhythm section of acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards, bass, and drums are often augmented by violin, string section, brass section, or B3 organ.
These services are engaging and worshipful, and are varied in style, song selection, and liturgy. We welcome you to worship with us in these or any of our four weekly services!
