Larry Heslip
Minister of Education and Administration
Larry began his ministry at Tallowood on September 1, 1999. Prior to joining the staff he served churches in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas in similar roles for the previous twenty five years.
Larry was ordained to the Gospel Ministry by the Cullendale First Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas, in 1974. He is a veteran of the US Army Field Artillery.
Amy, Larry's wife, is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in elementary education. They have two married children, Stephen and Elisabeth. Stephen and his wife, Heather, live in Kansas where he serves on a local church staff. Elisabeth and her husband Daniel Brodt live in Katy, Texas.
Larry has membership in several professional education and administration organizations and has served those organizations in various capacities, most recently as president of the Baptist Religious Education Association of the Southwest.
